Properly switch language without plugins

Implements #32 (closed) without additional plugins.

For this to work properly, all pages should be available in both languages (otherwise we get ugly 404s), but this would probably be a good thing anyway and would also make sense with something like the multiple languages plugin found by @sulzer.
